  35. Description:
  36. ------------
  37. This  driver  is  intended  for  all those Canon compatible inkjet
  38. printers (BJ-130...) out there.  Because of improved routines this
  39. driver  is  very fast compared to the commodore driver.  Also this
  40. driver  supports  more  graphic  and  text  modes  (see  below for
  41. additional features).

  44. send  me  a  selfaddressed  letter  and  $15  (this  money is only
  45. intended as donation for paying my postage and printer handbooks).

  62. 3. A PaperSize of 'Wide Tractor' selects a maximum print width of
  63.    13.6 inches (for wide carriage printers).
  64. 4. A papertype of 'SINGLE' ejects the sheet with a formfeed after every
  65.    dump.  Formfeed after a graphic dump is send according to the
  66.    SPECIAL_NOFORMFEED flag.

  68. Improvements added (compared to epsonx)

  70. 1.  Support of more graphic resolutions (360 DPI) !
  71. 2.  The driver has been speeded up. Now it's much faster than
  72.     a standard WB driver.
  73. 3.  Extra driver with support for 68020/30 should be included with
  74.     this package.
  75. 4.  Escape sequence for shadow print, fonts... added.
  76. 5.  This driver supports alphabetic accents and other special
  77.     characters as far as possible. Please note
  78.     that this driver has some limitations: some alphabetic Accents are
  79.     not supported.
  80. 6.  There is now support for selecting different typefaces.  Due
  81.     to the extended character translation table, the character set
  82.     selection commands (aFNT0 - aFNT10) are no longer really needed.

  99. Hints & Bug Report & Wishes
  100. ---------------------------
  101. 1.   If  possible  don't use the command ESC-'A'.  If you have to,
  102.      don't  forget  to reset the printer to 1/6inch linefeed!  There is
  103.      no extra 1/6inch linefeed command, so the driver can't do this for
  104.      you!
  105. 2.   Set DIP switch 2-6 ON. Character Set 2 should be default!
  106. 3.   The printer does no perforation skip with graphic dumps!
  107.      So watch out!
  108. 4.   Set DIP switch 1-3 (CR only) and 1-5 OFF!!!!!!!
  109. 5.   In case of a real bug make sure you have the latest release
  110.      and if so, drop me a note and it will be fixed with the next
  111.      release.
  112. 6.   In case of stripes and empty lines check your printer
  113.      margins (DIP switches, preferences setting, settings within
  114.      the program you use)!

  117. Notes
  118. -----
  119. After my first release of an EpsonLQ compatible printer driver I got
  120. many letters from people asking for an unsupported  printer driver.
  121. Please:
  122.  
  123. 1. include some money if you wan't to get answered. Postage takes a
  124.    major part of my income (as student I have no real income :-(  )
  125. 2. in case you found a bug: please give me a full description. In
  126.    most cases I can't verify your statements!
  127. 3. if you wan't some improvements or you have wishes: drop me a note,
  128. 4. if you don't have a driver for your printer or your driver
  129.    doesn't fully support your printer: drop me a note with a
  130.    description of your printer and maybe I'll do this for you...
  131.    (in case you have some bucks to much: don't wait for an answer
  132.    and send me a copy of your manual. But remember: there is no
  133.    guarantee I'll do the job!)
  134.    There will be no single typestroke without a complete copy of
  135.    the printer manual!!
